For 2026, four clear patterns emerged — Indian newlyweds are booking earlier, spending more, staying longer, and moving decisively away from crowded destinations. Here is our fully-honest 2026 demand ranking, with the reasons behind each rise (and fall).
1) Amalfi Coast — the new #1. Enquiries doubled year-on-year. Positano, Ravello and Capri are unquestionably the most-asked-for honeymoon destinations of 2026 for HNW Indian couples. Reasons: the direct India–Rome routes, the cinematic villa inventory (Le Sirenuse, Palazzo Avino, Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi), and — quietly — the Instagram effect of Bollywood weddings held here in 2024–25. Book by early January for June or September travel.
2) Seychelles — the fastest riser. Enquiries up 180% year-on-year. Indian couples are choosing Seychelles over Maldives for two reasons: more to explore (three-island itineraries with granite hikes and tortoise sanctuaries) and slightly lower resort prices for equivalent luxury (Six Senses Zil Pasyon, Four Seasons Desroches). The direct Emirates and Air Seychelles routes have made this destination genuinely accessible for the first time.
3) Switzerland — the quiet giant. Requests up 90%. Zermatt and Interlaken are booking out eight months ahead for June–September. The rise is glacier-flight and Glacier-Express driven; our couples want the 'somewhere you cannot forget' Alpine memory. Kandersteg is our off-the-brochure suggestion for 2026 — quieter than Zermatt, cheaper hotels, the same views.
4) Bali — steady, but Uluwatu leads. Bali is the reliable veteran. What has changed in 2026 is the Ubud-to-Uluwatu shift. Uluwatu (Bulgari, Alila Uluwatu, Six Senses) is where our HNW clients now want to stay. Ubud remains the two-night complement, not the honeymoon base.
5) Maldives — still winning the second-time honeymoon. Not the busiest for 2026, but still the highest-spending. Couples celebrating first-year, third-year, and fifth-year anniversaries book Maldives more than newlyweds now. Book Baa Atoll (June–October) for the manta season.
6) Hawaii — the emerging premium pick. Maui and Kauai are the newest entries in our top-ten. Requests come from couples wanting adventure (doors-off Nā Pali helicopters, Haleakalā sunrise) alongside resort polish. Expect a 12–14 day trip, one long-haul via Los Angeles or Tokyo.
Falling out of demand: Santorini (crowded, over-photographed), Phuket (post-COVID, not the honeymoon it once was), and standard-issue Dubai (still popular but rarely as a full honeymoon — usually a stopover). Rising quietly: Croatia (Hvar, Dubrovnik), Iceland (aurora season), and Fiji-Bora Bora combo trips for the truly deep-pocketed.
