Bali Honeymoon: The Villa Week That Travellers Return For

A private pool in Ubud, a cliff-edge sunset in Uluwatu — the one-week plan we book again and again.

The Vacations Pro Desk·Feb 2026

The Bali villa week is the honeymoon we book more than any other — and the reason is not Instagram. It is the one destination where the combination of privacy, affordability, and setting creates something that feels truly special without demanding a seven-figure budget.

Days 1-3: Ubud. One villa with a pool surrounded by rice fields. Chapung Se Bali, Kamandalu, or the new Viceroy are our three favourites. Days are slow — a Tirta Empul temple visit at sunrise, a couple's spa in the afternoon, Locavore for a Michelin-worthy tasting menu one night. The Campuhan Ridge walk at dawn is the prettiest free thing you'll do on this trip.

Days 4-7: Uluwatu. Transfer through Sanur and stop for brunch at Genius Café. Check in at Bulgari Resort (if the budget allows) or Alila Villas — both have cliff-edge pools that look impossible in photos. Days pass with languid pool mornings, private-beach afternoons, and sunset cocktails at Single Fin or Rock Bar. Dinner one evening at the Kecak fire dance performance at Uluwatu Temple is mandatory.

Budget range: ₹2.4–3.8 lakh per couple including flights, villas, meals, and airport transfers. Upgrade to the Bulgari and you are at ₹5.5 lakh. Whichever end of that spectrum, it will feel like the best seven days of your year.
